Video & Graphics

This Reel Remix review is based on the vendor’s Commercial sales page (where our link lands), its Founders bundle page, the JVZoo order forms for both, the Synthesys terms and refund policy, the vendor’s own videos, and Synthesys’s Trustpilot profile, checked on 10 October 2026. We have not created a Reel Remix account or used the product. Where a claim couldn’t be verified independently, we say so rather than repeating it.

Reel Remix is an AI video studio from Synthesys, Oliver Goodwin’s AI voice and avatar company. You give it a few seconds of yourself on camera, or a photo, and it clones your voice and continues the video from a typed script; it can also restyle footage into 33+ looks (claymation, comic, watercolour and so on), cut messy takes into one clean video, add captions and post to Instagram and TikTok. The “Commercial” edition our link goes to costs $47.75 one-time on JVZoo, with 1,000 starter credits and a commercial licence.

We rate it Proceed With Caution. Synthesys is an established company with a 4.4 Trustpilot score, the checkout pre-ticks nothing, and the price is one payment. But the live sales page still carries its own build notes: “Founder story, name, and support details will appear here before launch”, “Checkout, legal links, support channel, founder details, and final proof must be connected before launch”, and several “Demo media ready to connect” boxes. The 1,000 credits come with no cost per video, two of the “ten engines” are upgrades, and Synthesys’s own refund policy is far stricter than the “14-day no-hoops” promise.

What it is / who it’s for

Per the vendor, the $47.75 Commercial plan includes the full studio and a commercial licence, 1,000 starter credits, Extend (continue a 5-second clip from a typed script in your cloned voice), Restyle with 33+ preset looks plus one custom style template, Smart Cut, viral captions, voice cloning, face or faceless output, 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9 exports, share links for client approval, Instagram and TikTok scheduling, a “DFY Viral Vault”, and six bonuses (hook scripts, caption styles, a 30-day post calendar, a restyle look-book, a client-getting kit and a white-label agency website).

It’s aimed at creators, coaches and marketers who post short video often but don’t want to film every day, and at freelancers who want to sell video packages to local businesses. Because it clones a face and voice, it suits people making content of themselves, or of clients who have agreed to it.

The vendor’s sales page includes these clips.

Vendor demo video: uploading your own image as a custom Reel Remix style template, published by the vendor on its sales page. We did not make this video and have not used the product. Video: vendor-supplied.
Vendor-supplied output sample: a video made from a still image (the vendor’s “No-Record Mode”). Chosen by the vendor, so treat it as a best case rather than typical results.

What we found

A live sales page with its build notes still on it

The page our link lands on is selling, with a working JVZoo checkout. Yet its “Behind Reel Remix” section reads: “Founder story, name, and support details will appear here before launch. This page intentionally does not invent them.” The footer says “Checkout, legal links, support channel, founder details, and final proof must be connected before launch.” The hero video, the “Full product walkthrough” and the scheduler preview are boxes labelled “Demo media ready to connect”. The product exists and the checkout names the seller, so this looks like an unfinished page rather than a missing product, but it means the walkthrough you’d want to see before buying isn’t there.

1,000 credits, with no cost per video

The FAQ says “Credits are how each generation is metered” and that each render “shows its exact cost before you spend”, but nowhere does the page say what an Extend, a Restyle or a minute of video costs. The 1,000 credits are “a one-time pool”; more are bought as top-ups at a price that isn’t published. The checkout bump, “Mega Lite” for $147 one-time, adds 3,500 credits “automatically refilled EVERY month” with “No monthly payment”, without saying for how long. Credit usage is also the main theme of Synthesys’s one-star Trustpilot reviews; one from January 2026 says “Credit usage did not match how it was presented.”

Two of the “ten engines” are upgrades

The section headed “One Clip. Ten Ways To Put It To Work.” lists Viral Clips, Translate and Reframe among the engines, each marked in small print “Not included · upgrade after checkout”. The FAQ answers “Can I translate my videos?” with “Yes. Translate turns any finished video into 70+ languages”, without saying that’s the $67 Go Global upgrade. A comparison table prices “All of it” at “$127 ONE TIME”, a figure that doesn’t match the $47.75 Commercial price or any upgrade. The page does say plainly that Commercial “works completely on its own”, and lists every upgrade with its price.

Two refund promises

The sales page promises “Fourteen days, money back, no hoops” with “No interrogation · No save calls · No fine print”, and the JVZoo order form says the product “has 14 days return policy”. Synthesys’s own refund policy is different: a refund “within 3 days (72 hours)” and only if you’ve used no more than 25% of your credits. It’s written for Synthesys’s monthly plans and doesn’t mention JVZoo, so the 14-day promise is probably the one that applies, but keep a copy of the sales page and ask for any refund early.

Voice and face cloning needs consent

Selling client videos means cloning a client’s face and voice. The page says Reel Remix is “not about replacing you with AI”, but it doesn’t mention consent or labelling. Get written permission from anyone whose likeness you use, and follow each platform’s rules on labelling realistic AI content, such as TikTok’s AI-generated content policy.

Vendor, our link and the Founders bundle

JVZoo names the seller as “Oliver Goodwin – Synthesys AI Studio”; the Synthesys terms name Nouveau Media Ltd, with a London address and Dutch governing law. Synthesys scores 4.4 from 114 Trustpilot reviews, 13% of them one-star, and Trustpilot notes it hasn’t replied to negative reviews. The Founders bundle that preceded this page (everything for one price, with “Founders Market Pricing” that “begins at $127 and adjusts upward as new members join”) shows a finished countdown; its JVZoo order form still sells it at $153, but our link now lands on the Commercial page.

TransparencyRed FlagBuild notes and empty “demo media” boxes on the live page; no cost per video for the credits; upgrades presented among the core engines; a $127 price that matches nothing

Trust SignalSome Fine PrintAn established company (4.4 on Trustpilot from 114 reviews) and a 14-day promise on the order form; but its own refund policy is 72 hours, and one-star reviews centre on credits

Overall: Proceed With Caution. The idea is useful: film a few seconds once and keep producing talking-head videos in your own voice, with styling, captions and posting in one place. Synthesys has a real track record, the price is one payment and nothing is pre-ticked. It isn’t Worth Buying because the page still reads as unfinished, the credit allowance can’t be turned into a number of videos, and the refund terms conflict. It isn’t a Skip because the 14-day guarantee is on the JVZoo order form. If you buy, check how many credits one Extend and one Restyle use in your first session, and ask for a refund within the 14 days, preferably in the first 72 hours, if the credits won’t stretch. This rating is a judgement about the deal, not a claim about the quality of the videos, which we haven’t tested.
